NuAire has sponsored and teamed up with the IFBA (International Federation of Biosafety Associations) in efforts to provide safe, practical, and sustainable solutions for Biological Safety Cabinets throughout the world. The IFBA and NuAire share similar goals in providing high-quality products while continuing our commitment to higher education, training, and safe servicing practices to ensure your Biological Safety Cabinets are used properly and remain optimally functional over several decades.

NuAire is excited to join the IFBA's Biocontainment Engineering Working Group (BEWG) to increase the amount of highly trained and qualified biocontainment engineers who can install, service, and maintain Biosafety Cabinets in a practical, cost-effective manner that remains applicable throughout various communities around the world. This collaboration will aid in the education of laboratory technicians, scientists, and maintenance personnel regarding Biological Safety Cabinets as a primary means of containment for working safely with infectious organisms.

The IFBA was established in 1971 when a growing need for an international forum to discuss arising issues was recognized in the biosafety world. The IFBA is now an established global community of research professionals, biosafety experts, laboratory technicians, architects, engineers, policymakers, plus many others who share a common interest in the progression of biosafety and biosecurity. The IFBA helps develop and implement biosafety programs through global partnerships among biosafety associations, non-governmental organizations, academia, policymakers, governments, international agencies, private industry, donor organizations, and various other stakeholders.
