Overview
The AllerGard NU-608 Small Animal Refuse Workstation is a specialized Class I cabinet designed to dispose of animal bedding safely. It provides robust protection for laboratory personnel handling low to moderate-risk materials. The NU-608 employs a constant inflow air barrier at 105 feet per minute (0.53 meters per second) to prevent allergen and infection exposure. Key features include an AeroMax™ Control Center with pressure monitoring and alarms, a spacious 14-inch hinged access opening, and a stainless steel work surface for easy cleaning. Additionally, it features a waste chute with a stainless steel bang bar, a telescoping base stand, and a deodorizing charcoal exhaust filter. This highly mobile workstation has heavy-duty casters and side-mounted push/pull handlebars, ensuring convenient movement within the vivarium. The NU-608 enhances safety and efficiency during cage cleaning and animal bedding disposal operations.
